The USAID funded PMI/Vectorlink Ethiopia Project supports the President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) in the planning and implementing IRS program with the overall goal of reducing the burden of malaria in Ethiopia. The project implements IRS programs through cost effective commodity procurement and logistics system and access to technical expertise in other countries affected by malaria.

The PMI/ Vectorlink Ethiopia project supports the Benishangul, Gambella and Oromia Regional Health Bureaus in malaria prevention through Indoor residual spraying (IRS) in various districts of respective regions.

The VectorLink Ethiopia Project office would like to invite interested individuals and organizations for warehouse rental facility around the following locations Sebeta, Burayu & surrounding areas for the Fiscal Year (2021).

Deadline to submit questions and/ or request for clarifications

Deadline for Bid Submission is Monday 18th January 2021 and any request for clarification shall be submitted on or before 13th January 2021. Questions will be compiled and responded to all vendors by 15th January, 2021.

Proposals /Quotations Due Date & Time

Proposals can be submitted in person in a wax sealed envelope separately labeled through DHL or FedEx to procurement unit by the bid deadline 18th January 2021 on or before 2:30PM.

Compliance to technical specifications and RFQ instructions

Price and cost related factors

Location of warehouse.

Past Performance & Payment Terms.

5. Vendor’s Bank Account

6. Clearly stated payment term

Technical Specification of the Required Warehouse

1.Minimum Requirement of the Compound

  • Easy access and door. Main gate should be metal screen structures with bolted
  • Good vehicle entry and exit options
  • It should have a place for guards waiting and sleeping spaces
  • It should be a walled compound
  • It should be easily accessible by transport

2. Minimum Requirement of the Warehouse (Interior & Exterior parts)


  • A total compound of > 800 M2
  • Made of hallow blocks or bricks, with a minimum of 5 meter high including the ventilation
  • The warehouse effective area to be used should be 500 – 600 M2
  • One or two entries, doors should be metal screen structures with bolted, locks securely mounted
  • Entry door size should be >=4 meter high and >= 4 Meter width
  • Window or good ventilation with secure barred metal bars.
  • A functional electric power and tap water
  • Toilet facility
  • Cemented surfaces and concrete flooring
  • The site should not be close to human dwellings or to schools, shops, food markets or should be well separated
  • Well-fixed roofing without any drip and a functional drainage system
  • Once identified, the VL team will inspect based on the detail BMP checklist
