1. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Regional Pastoral Livelihoods Resilience Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the construction of the water distribution system from the borehole.

2. The SNNPRS Pastoral and Special Support Affairs Coordination Bureau now invites sealed bids from eligible, licensed, and qualified bidders (WWC-5 & above) for the construction of the water distribution system.

3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants January 2011 revised July 2014, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 settings for the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from SNNPRS Pastoral and Special Support Affairs Coordination Bureau, Regional Pastoral Livelihoods Resilience Project (RPLRP)-Regional Project Coordination Unit and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from Monday to Friday during office hours: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

5. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 100.00 (One Hundred Birr only). The method of payment will be Cash.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 10:00 AM on July 14, 2020, Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below 10:30 AM on July 14, 2020

7. All bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Security” of ETB 100,000.00 for the LOT in any easily convertible currency in the form of CPO or Bank Guarantee.

8. We have the right to cancel the contract fully or partially.
