The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Second Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Project (UWSSPII), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract sanitation facilities,

Dire Dawa Administration Water Supply and Sewerage Authority now invite sealed bids from eligible bidders for construction of the following public and communal toilets:

Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the procedure of Government of Ethiopia, Federal Government Procurement and Property Administration Proclamation No. 649/2009 and the Federal Government Public Procurement Directive issued by the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, June 2010. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of ETB 500.00 (Five hundred Ethiopian Birr). The method of payment will be in cash. Bids must be delivered to the address below within 30(thirty) calendar days counted from the First day noticed posted on the newspaper at 9:00am (morning), the exact date will be notified on the bidding document. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on same date at 9:30 am (morning). All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of ETB 50,000 or an equivalent amount in the form of Bank Guarantee/CPO/ in the bid currency in the name of Dire Dawa Water Supply & Sanitation Project II (DDWSSPII) for each Lot.
